Propane Car Heater

Frank and Vic go on a bike ride
There is much in this photo which needs explaining. Frank Glass and I went on a 50 mile mountain bike ride near Bend, Oregon. We spent the first half riding through snow. About halfway through the ride we stopped to warm up at a propane heater. Apparently I stood too close to the heater for too long and burned my shorts.
That explains me. As for Frank...
At about mile 49 Frank was cut off by a car. He hit the car going about 30 miles an hour with his head. I saw the whole thing from about 8 feet away. Frank wound up lying on the pavement with a pool of blood under his head. His eyes were wide open but he wasn't moving. I thought he was dead but soon realized he was at least breathing. Frank started coming around about when the ambulance arrived. They checked him out at the hospital, gave him some stitches, then we drove back to the house. That is where is where this photo was taken.

Very bad morning. Everything seemed to go wrong. The propane ran out, so the heater stopped working. Thankfully we've got space heaters, but it was a cold morning. We had gotten the car back from the shop, but this morning it wouldn't start. We had lots of plans for the day, and it seemed that we wouldn't be able to do any of them. Jonah and I were to go to Sharon and Jamie's to laundry all day. Sharon was able to come pick us up though, and as soon as she got here, the car started. So we got to do the laundry and it took ALL DAY. Justin came to pick us up, and we took Sharon and Jamie out to Mt. Everest for some Nepalese buffet. It was SO good. Turned out to be a not so bad day.
